Internet connection bandwidth monitor (FritzBox) with 7 segment display and esp8266
prusaprinters

This is a small device to monitor my internet connection. It shows the currently used bandwidth in MB/s for the upload and download (in the sample image it's 410Kb/s uploading and nearly 18Mb/s downloading). I use it to see directly if stuff on my computer is not working as expected, because somebody is filling up our bandwith :)

At the moment I grab this data from homeassistant via api, the data itself is grabbed on my Fritz!Box. Maybe I find some time to gather the data directly from the box.

Hardware used is a 8 digit 7 segment display and a nodemcu v3 microcontroller, powered via usb.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

All-metal Mega

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Filament:
- PLA Post-Printing =============
Print all parts, then put in the hardware and close it with the backplate - it should slip into the carving.

Glue the characters for up and down on the holes in the front.

Use the "mini cover" to cover the small slot between the two 7-segment displays with some glue.

Category: Computer
