Internal RPi Retaining Clip for Printrbot Simple Metal Gen1
thingiverse
I was tired of vinnivg's compact Raspberry pi B+ and Pi 2 case slipping out from underneath my Printrbot Simple Metal every time I moved it, so I came up with a retaining clip to keep the incredibly slim case snug inside. Combined with my hack to swap the Printrboard 180-degrees (putting the micro-USB port inside the base) and adding a 2.1A 5v supply from an old mini-USB car charger, I made this fully-featured printer with Octoprint entirely self-contained other than the powersupply. It's so clean that it will break my heart to see it go, but hopefully to a wonderful new home. If you want to clean up your Octopi-outfitted Printrbot Simple Metal, grab this clip and vinnieg's case, and give it a try. Enjoy ! -=dave
