Internal o-ring insertion tool

Version 2 Update: I revised the geometry to minimize the likelihood of breaking off the tip of the plug while extracting. The design is now more robust and easier to use. I made a minor adjustment to the code from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34027, so I have uploaded the modified file as well. I haven't conducted extensive testing with other sizes beyond my immediate requirements. Please leave comments if you encounter any issues when scaling it to different sizes. This tool was inspired by an idea I saw at http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?168191-Internal-o-ring-inserter-tool My '71 John Deere 4320 tractor has hydraulic dowel pins (JD part R41511) that require a new o-ring (JD part R56464) to be inserted inside a small shaft in the support unit (JD part AR40572). I spent hours trying to get even one in with the tools I had. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prussa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 25% Notes: The only part that requires support is the plug. The finger needs to have 100% infill, but at .2mm and 3 perimeters, it becomes solid regardless of infill settings, so all items can be sliced together. Post-Printing Attach the Handle The handle can be attached with superglue (PLA), or acetone (ABS). Leave the plug loose from the shell to allow some adjusting of the insertion depth. To increase the depth, add shims above the plug. To decrease the insertion depth, don't press the shell flat against the opening. How I Designed This Parameters I wrote the .scad file to be parametric for Oring depth, Oring thickness, Internal diameter and gap between parts. It should be easily modified for other sizes of o-rings and holes.
