Internal geneva indexing mechanism

Internal geneva indexing mechanism

thingiverse

Originating from Surajmal's "Internal Geneva Mechanism" on GrabCAD, this model is printed using Diamond Age PLA on an Ultimaker 1. Though it appears neat when printed, the wheel fails to lock during the dwell phase of the cycle as opposed to conventional external genevas. Prior to printing, ensure correct part orientation. For tall, narrow parts, use 0.2mm layers and a temperature of 220°C. Filing might be required for a proper fit of the indexing pawl in the geneva slots. Post-filing, operation becomes easier with a bit of water, leading to a smoothly running mechanism.
