This part replaces a small wooden piece in the extruder assembly, creating a guide between the drive gear and hot end, thus preventing jams. Compatible with Printrbot's direct drive extruder upgrade for all printer models purchased since October 2013. To install, first remove the lower front 3 mm screw from your extruder, followed by the wooden piece in the filament channel. Replace it with this part, ensuring proper alignment of the hole with the hot end using a filament. The 3 mm screw hole may require reaming for a tight fit; however, the filament hole is suitable for 1.75 mm filament without modifications.
