Intermittent 1 to 1 With Dwell Time III
grabcad
This third mechanism employs a bevel gears planetary (differential type) and woobling axle to create intermittent motion. It has a 1:1 input/output ratio but the output varies over time. The yellow planetary arm is the input, while the black fork is the output that holds the red woobling axle. The orange sun is fixed, and one red planet attaches to the axle, while the green planet rotates in opposite direction. A blue part connects them. This mechanism has three cycles per revolution with a negative output phase. Animation demonstrating the movement caused by the woobling axle was created using Solidworks 2015 for modeling and Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition for rendering. The model is available in multiple formats including 3D-PDF, ZIM, and various CAD software. The ZIM file can be viewed on iOS and Android devices with the free Simlab Viewer app.
