Interlocking Polygon Puzzle Shape
thingiverse
I create parametric polygonal faces to construct polyhedrons using OpenSCAD. These customizable models can be easily printed and assembled into various shapes, allowing users to build their own unique polyhedra. By using a constant side length for each shape, any combination of triangles and pentagons will fit together seamlessly. Each toothed edge features intricate details that enable the faces to interlock and rotate freely around a central axis. Currently, this functionality is limited to four-tooth designs in the OpenSCAD file, but I am working on expanding it to accommodate any number of teeth. These printable polyhedra can be used as an educational tool to help students visualize and learn about various geometric shapes. They are also great for building and exploring, making them a fun addition to any math or science lesson.
