An update is in store for an improved assembly and snug fit design of this chessboard. The construction entails only four 3D models, comprising of 2 white and 2 colored corner pieces, 18 white and 18 colored middle pieces, as well as 6 white and 6 colored female-edge and male-edge pieces. In total, there are 64 pieces to print with support, specifically tailored for the "Yet another chess set" chess pieces.
