Interior of Palazzo delle poste
sketchfab
This model was developed as part of an internship project spearheaded by the University of Catania (DICAR) and Liceo Artistico M.M. Lazzaro. The Palazzo delle Poste, conceived in 1919, is a notable architectural achievement attributed to Francesco Fichera and situated at the intersection of Via Etnea and the main entrance of Giardino Bellini in Catania. Exterior facades have been intentionally designed for public accessibility, while interior facades serve as part of the courtyard's structure. The interior features a series of vibrant marble Doric columns that support an architrave. A flattened dome is divided into four sections by a beautifully decorated rib. The rib showcases all twelve zodiac signs in exquisite detail. Authors: Edoardo Garozzo, Miriam Lo Verde Camera: Canon EOS 1100D Photos: Fifty-One Software: Agisoft Photoscan 1.4.1
