Interior of a Toroidal Polyhedron

Interior of a Toroidal Polyhedron

thingiverse

Here is a set of models based on a toroidal polyhedron from McCooey's "Visual Polyhedra" site: http://dmccooey.com/polyhedra/. The polyhedron, labeled "RM{6,4}_sub_10.stl", is the dual of "RM46_sub_10.stl" described in thing:2865540. This toroidal polyhedron creates a remarkably symmetrical interior space; five chambers perfect for an Egyptian pharaoh's burial are neatly arranged within its structure. Each chamber has direct access to all other chambers via a triangular door, allowing for effortless movement throughout the entire complex. The innermost chamber is linked to the other four by 4 small triangular openings, while the additional four chambers are identical, connected to each other through 3 small triangular openings and also accessible from the innermost chamber. To illustrate these facts, detailed models were constructed using OpenSCAD code.
