Interface for Fanatic Aero Fuselage for Wingfoiling
thingiverse
This is a model of the front wing interface for a Fanatic Aero Aluminium 800 fuselage, a hydrofoil system designed for wingfoiling and prone foiling. For anyone wanting to build their own front wings compatible with the fuselage. The fuselage is parallel to the coordinate system, and any wings should therefore have their chord line roughly parallel to the xy plane. The Fanatic aero system is designed for M8 bolts, the holes are countersunk to remind you to add these features to your wing! The inner surface of the interface has been retracted by around 0.3mm to ensure contact around the outer perimiter of the interface, to best handle roll torques and maximise the interface stiffness. To use this model, create your wing and boolean add this model to that form, adding fillets between the two solids to smooth any transition. I 3D scanned my fuselage with the KIRI engine photogrammetry app, then verified dimensions with calipers and a test print.
