Interesting Geared Device
thingiverse
This set of gears is inspired by a manual illustration and features a big wheel with slotting for a smaller gear to slide in. The files are Unigraphics format. Creation occurred during a class at the Solheim Rapid Prototyping Lab, University of Washington (Open3DP). This design is an entry for the Makerbot contest (http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2010/04/makerbot_giveaway.html). Print all four parts, including two versions of the little wheel with or without built-in pegs; assemble with screws, nuts, and washers as per the image (brass pegs shown).
