Selecting the best heat exchanger for automotive applications can be challenging without understanding each type's performance. This paper evaluates a cross-flow heat exchanger used in forced induction cars and examines the effects of fin density inside an intercooler core on heat transfer rate and efficiency. It was hypothesized that higher fins density cores would improve heat transfer rates compared to non-fins cores.
