Interchangeable Shower Soap Dish System

Fits a 25mm shower riser tube. Shower riser tube to wall clearance needs to be at least 25mm, with 30mm recommended for optimal results. The original shower soap holder was a flat piece of plastic with recesses on either side for holding a bar of soap. However, after a few showers, the soap would clog the drain holes and turn it into a tray with two puddles of goo. I designed my own tray where you can easily remove the dishes for quick cleaning. The colours of the trays were carefully selected to match that of the soap, ensuring the soap-dishes look cleaner for longer. The blades in the dishes allow air to circulate underneath a wet bar of soap and promote drying out after each use. This helps prevent soap buildup and makes maintenance a breeze. The tray is tilted downwards at the front to encourage water to drip away from the wall. Large rounded drip edges on the dishes enable water to drain out, even when they're caked up. The drip edges also serve as locators that prevent accidental knocking of the dishes out of the tray. They're rounded to reduce the risk of injury and provide a smooth surface for water to flow off. A compromise was made by making the bottom of the dishes flat, allowing for easy printing without support. However, this required careful compensation with the tray angle to ensure proper functionality. Support is still necessary for the overhanging locating brim, but any mess it causes is hidden in the recess. The tray was printed in rigid.ink Black ASA, a durable material that can withstand exposure to sunlight and UV radiation. ASA was chosen as it's less likely to bleach or fade due to sun exposure, ensuring the tray remains intact for years to come. The dishes were printed in rigid.ink ABS (Colours: Olive Green, White, Pink) as they can easily be replaced if they fade or become damaged. This design choice also allows for easy acetone-vapour smoothing of the parts.
