Intel Space Capsule
pinshape
I really loved the Intel Space Capsule design they sent to numerous YouTubers and reviewers for the Haswell-E (5960x) and PCI-E SSD release. I reached out to Intel to see if it was possible for regular people like me to get one, but they said no - at least that's what their response indicated. So, I sat down and designed my own version, which isn't 100% accurate, but will do the job. My initial plan was to create a design that would fit a Micro-ATX Mainboard, with the Prusa i3 z-axis mechanism internal to open and close the lid - due to cost and size constraints (450x450x700mm), this project is currently on hold. Here's a 25% scale model designed for 5mm LEDs. I hope you enjoy it!
