Intel Socket 1151 115(x) backplate
thingiverse
I inherited a high-performance water loop PC with a CPU block already attached, but I was shocked to find that no backplate had been designed or included. After conducting an exhaustive online search, I couldn't locate any pre-existing designs that matched my needs. As a result, I quickly created one myself using Fusion 360. The design is not flawless, but it effectively distributes the weight and serves its purpose. The screw holes have a diameter of 4.1mm, allowing for precise installation. To ensure durability, I printed the backplate in ABS, which can withstand high temperatures. Notably, this custom backplate design allows me to avoid making any solder joints on my MSI Gaming M5 Z370 board. The XSPC Raystorm waterblock is functioning seamlessly with this setup, and I believe that it could also work well for a custom Cooler Master 212 EVO installation - although this has not been thoroughly tested.
