Intel RES2SV240 SAS Expander Mounting Bracket

These are fantastic SAS expanders available on eBay at a great price. They can be powered either by inserting them into a PCI-E slot or by using the Molex connector located next to the heatsink. Since the server I was building didn't have any spare PCI-E slots that could be used for powering the SAS expander, I needed a way to mount it elsewhere. Printed with 10% infill at .25mm and extremely sturdy. The SAS expander is positioned 4mm above the plate itself, which appears to provide sufficient clearance for all components on the underside. You will need to drill screw holes; centering divots are provided, so I used a 7/64" (2.78mm) drill bit and found this was perfect for using regular computer case screws to attach the SAS expander to the plate, as well as 3mm SHCS into the case.
