Intel NUC - Underdesk VESA bracket lock
thingiverse
The Intel NUC 8 Enthusiast NUC8i7HVKVA is a marvel of miniaturization, capable of being discreetly attached under a desk to optimize space and showcase its sleek design. This compact powerhouse comes equipped with a VESA mounting plate, allowing users to vertically display their device, but I discovered that this feature was not intended for inverted horizontal applications. Upon installation, I found the NUC would slide out and potentially fall to the ground, prompting me to devise a custom bracket and clip mechanism to securely fasten it in place. After six iterative revisions, I arrived at a design that perfectly fit, functioned as intended, and withstood rigorous testing without compromising its integrity. This triumph is truly worth celebrating! If you choose to implement this design, please share your experiences, provide feedback, and post images of your setup. Your input will be invaluable in helping me refine this solution and better understand its practical applications. The power cable can be easily unplugged to release the NUC from its secure position. Video showcasing the NUC bracket and power supply bracket: https://youtu.be/hFQYLOo3FNQ
