Integrated Fan Duct for E3D-v6 hotend

thingiverse

This is an integrated fan duct designed to replace the original E3D v6 fan duct. An additional fan duct for cooling print parts can be attached to either side of the fan duct for cooling the hotend via 2 M3 bolts, whichever you choose. The airflow from the cooling parts is directed just below the nozzle so it doesn't affect the temperature of the nozzle, and the vent on the outside of the duct is tapered inward to concentrate air flows. Date: July 27, 2015. I have added a 40mm fan duct. Note: I did not test the 40mm fan duct personally, but I believe it will work similarly to the 30mm version. UPDATE: I have designed a new fan duct that uses two 40mm fans on both sides. It improves cooling performance. To check it out, visit this webpage:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1292038 Date: May 12, 2016 update: I added double-sided brackets upon request. Instructions: You can print without supports. It's recommended to use a 100% infill. You may need an M3 tap screw (or self-tapping screws like those that come with the E3D hotend).
