I installed replacement distribution ports on my E39 530i's intake manifold, eliminating the CCV system entirely. After 10,000 miles of use, I've encountered no problems with these custom-designed plugs. Upon removal, the heat and oil have had a negligible impact on the cheetah flex, which remains supple and effective at sealing the ports.
