Intake Duct for Controller Cooling Fan
thingiverse
I installed a custom-made controller cooling fan duct designed by lexaiden from Thingiverse, but it caused issues when printing with ABS and PETG. The heated bed took too long to recover, and the thermal protection would shut down the print. To fix this problem, I created an intake duct that fits perfectly onto the front of a 40 mm fan. This new design addresses the issue by providing better airflow under the heated bed. There are two versions of the intake duct available: - Version 1: The tabs align with the screw holes on the fan and stay in place due to attachment to the frame. This version is easy to install but may not seal perfectly to the fan. - Version 2: The screw holes allow for attaching the intake duct directly through the mounting holes of the fan into the stepper cooling duct, providing a tighter seal.
