Insulin syringe holder
thingiverse
It's an insulin syringe holder that simplifies making an insulin injection - preventing the needle from going too deep under the skin. NOTE: the pictures with a syringe are for illustration only, using an older model with a restrainer position misaligned, causing the needle to appear too prominent. The actual model doesn't have this flaw, but I didn't have a syringe to take new photos; the picture without a syringe is accurate. A friend suffering from diabetes asked me to create a holder for an insulin syringe to make injections easier using one hand, holding it and injecting insulin. It should allow the needle to penetrate about 6 mm (0.24 inches) under the skin and prevent it from going any further. After several attempts, I managed to design it as my friend had envisioned - perfect for use. That's the model. There are two different printing options: 1. The file named Syringe2S.STL is how I printed it, turned 45 degrees to make it more precise. Model already has necessary supports; 2. File Syringe2N.STL is aligned more classically. It doesn't need supports for proper printing. Both files have been through Microsoft's Repair Service and are ready to print. Again: the model shown on the pictures with a syringe is an outdated one with improper length.
