Insulin Pump Modular Belt
thingiverse
The wearable I decided to build is a modular insulin pump belt specifically designed for the Autodesk Fusion 360 Challenge. This innovative device addresses a common problem faced by diabetics who rely on insulin pumps: carrying essential items such as glucose meters, emergency insulin, syringes, and high-carb snacks. To make life easier for these individuals, I created a modular insulin belt that features a series of grooves where users can attach pouches, holders, and battery banks to secure their insulin pump. The belt's design allows users to customize it according to their needs, adding or removing pouches as required. As the name suggests, the modular insulin pump belt is highly adaptable and can be modified to fit any user's body size. This wearable device provides easy access to life-saving equipment, ensuring that individuals with diabetes stay safe in emergency situations. One of the key benefits of this design is that it doesn't require users to make significant changes to their daily routine. Since a belt is already an integral part of daily life, designed for extended use, the modular insulin pump belt seamlessly integrates into existing habits. The wearable also features clips that allow users to easily reposition their insulin pump and an external battery bank for convenient charging. This thoughtful design consideration ensures that users can keep their equipment charged and ready to go at all times. Perhaps most importantly, the modular insulin pump belt carries all essential lifesaving equipment in one place, allowing individuals with diabetes to quickly point out the location of the necessary items to a guardian or police officer if needed.
