I consistently misplace my insulin pen cap and was forced to purchase another pen the last time it happened. With the advent of 3D printing technology, however, I can now create a new cap that perfectly fits my needs. To ensure a seamless fit, some filing may be necessary after the print job is complete. It's also worth noting that printing with PLA rather than ABS material has proven to produce a stronger clip in my experience.
