Insulator retainer
thingiverse
The initial acrylic insulator retainer broke upon encountering a plastic mass, yet it could be temporarily mended with adhesive. To avoid future issues, the user suggests keeping an extra part handy. After installing a printed replacement, the part functioned well. Despite concerns about ABS overheating, it maintained performance at 220 degrees for hours. For printing, ensure a strong foundation to prevent warping. Two similar files are available: 'insulator retainer.stl' created from measurements in Sketchup and 'insulator retainer built from dxf file.stl,' derived from Makerbot DXF import into Sketchup for 3D adjustments. Once printed, follow the Plastuder assembly instructions to use the part effectively.
