This is a re-engineered insulator for the 9-element 144MHz LFA PBP Yagi. The original insulator has a critical flaw. Birds, wind and vibration in the antenna cause the directors to turn, resulting in an extremely undesirable effect. The re-designed insulator slides over the boom onto which the directors are fitted, with the original insulator positioned on top.
