Institute Laser Rifle Fallout 4
thingiverse
This is a replica of the Institute Rifle from Fallout 4, broken down into three smaller sections for ease of printing - the front, receiver, and stock. The receiver comes in two distinct versions; one with a cap that prints easily due to its closed mesh structure, and the other without, which might cause issues (its mesh is not completely closed) but offers a more detailed appearance (reveals some internal wiring). To begin, print each part individually or follow this project's instructions for assembly. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the model's various components, such as the stock and trigger. Note: Make certain to select either '006a 2 OPEN' or '006a 2 CLOSED', as you won't need both in final assembly. The 'OPEN' component has two empty sections within its body, which can be sealed with transparent plastic for enhanced lighting effects or serve as an access point for internal electronics control. UPDATE: Recent updates have refined the model's structure by splitting it into multiple components and introducing various connectors to simplify the assembly process. This version includes a built-in power cell design that is tailored to fit standard 9V batteries, ideal for adding sound and lighting features through triggers.
