I disliked the steam release spraying steam and debris onto my cupboards when opening it. The alternative was to place the pot on the edge of the countertop, which wasn't the safest option. Here's an alternative solution that I created specifically for my instant pot brand pressure cooker, but may be compatible with other models as well. I used 50% infill and PetG transparent filament, which looked great and seemed food-safe enough. When releasing steam, make sure to face away from it. I only put the holder on before releasing, not while cooking. After each use, hand wash the device. Other filaments should also work just fine.
