This is a print-in-place design that requires support and rafting. To remove the shafts from the box, you'll need to twist them back and forth until they're free. I've cut flats on the shaft where the filament adhered most, making it harder to release. The flats don't affect the functionality. A crank is included for turning the shaft in the hole of the box. Alternatively, a 17 mm wrench or adjustable socket can be used. This device could be used for shredding kitchen food to add to a compost bin, as that's its intended purpose. It can also shred veggies for salads, salsa, smoothies, and other applications. For use with food, only food-safe PLA should be employed. To ensure strength, near 100 percent infill is recommended. I've made some changes since the initial upload, including increasing box hole size to make removal easier and adding flats to the shaft for better filament release.
