Instant Pot Dragon, Smoothed, with GAP
thingiverse
I love mcd8604's work on smoothing out the interior of this dragon design. However, my Instant Pot has its steam vent tab positioned differently, so I needed a notch modification. To accommodate this, I carefully placed the notch to face forward when the vent is in operation. If your steam vent's tab is situated in a different position, please let me know in the comments - it's relatively easy to adjust. After considering ClashingPlaids' insightful suggestions, I added three duplicate STL files for the stl, each with the notch rotated 90 degrees. Choose the version that has the dragon facing the direction you prefer for your kitchen setup. Following marlerman and MisterNam's advice on using this design with non-Instant-Pot cookers, I incorporated a test ring - essentially the bottom part of the dragon. This section should print quickly enough to allow for a trial fit with your cooker's steam vent. If the test ring fits perfectly, you're good to go ahead and print the entire dragon! However, if it doesn't fit as expected, please let me know what adjustments need to be made or share a ring that fits your vent, and I'll do my best to assist you.
