Instamatic X-25 35mm Film Coupler

I scored a Kodak Instamatic X-25 at a thrift shop for just $3, but it came without film. A quick search online revealed that the film is extremely pricey and difficult to replicate due to its unique cartridge design - however, there's been little progress in creating a 3D print substitute. Instead of trying to make one of those, I crafted this adapter, which allows you to use regular 35mm film with the Instamatic. The only catch is that you'll need to trim or grind down the top of the film reel so it fits properly. Also, be aware that this part has a tendency to break after several uses - that's why I included three prints in case one breaks. The flat end with four notches connects with the camera's gear inside, while the two spokes link up with the film. To use it, start by attaching a regular 35mm take-up spool for your film to wrap around tightly. Then, connect your film roll to the camera using this adapter. Close the system and make sure to cover the back window with black-out tape or an equivalent to block light from getting in.
