Modified a GoPro mount to stop selfie stick wobble, requiring a 1/4 inch 20 nut that fits into the bottom section or a 3/8th to 1/4 adaptor. Amazon sells these adaptors. Added my own spin on this modification with a couple of options: One: Melt a 3/8th to 1/4 converter into the bottom by heating it up and pushing it in. Two: Push and glue a bigger hole converter as above, allowing for gluing. Three: The original method involves creating a slot for a 1/4 inch nut, which will pop out when unscrewed. I chose to use hot melt instead of this approach. You could also melt the 1/4 inch nut in place. The best way to achieve a square fit is by heating up the 3/8th adaptor with a hot gun while attached to the selfie stick and then pushing it into the hole, resulting in a flat surface against the bottom of the print. A blob of glue ensures the domed GoPro nut stays in place. The one with the nut hole requires only a push fit and possibly a tap from a hammer. Converters come from Amazon, including the SMALLRIG Screw Thread Adapter 1/4 Female to 3/8 Male Mic Stand for Micphone Gopro Camera Tripod Monopod Ballhead (5 PCS) - 1610. Nuts are available in 1/4 20.
