Inspector Gadget Hat Costume
thingiverse
This remix originates from the original Inspector Gadget hat designed by Gork10. I aimed for tighter tolerances and sought to reduce the wrist size by 20%. Furthermore, I decided against purchasing wooden rods, opting instead to print them myself. The hat provided for this project was not the correct style or color, but the final outcome turned out satisfactory regardless. The balls were printed with a 20% infill density, while all other components boasted 100% infill for added strength. Notably, the rods necessitated a raft during vertical printing. I removed the magnifying glass and replaced it with clear plastic to minimize weight. Additionally, I utilized pipe cleaners to provide structure to the hands and stuffed the yellow rubber gloves with cotton balls. The light is an Amazon-purchased Fortune Products PL-4535R Police Beacon. To accommodate its functionality, I relocated the power switch from the side of the base to the bottom.
