Insoles
thingiverse
Here is an insole design that I came up with for indoor sports use, and it has performed well while playing badminton. The first printed pair lasted surprisingly long. They have already far exceeded the lifespan of the insoles I used to buy before. The insole size is 42 (EU), and my shoe size is 9 1/2 (US). I printed the thin blue bottom layer from ABS. Then, I used soft filament for the middle red layer. Finally, I made the black sides from NinjaFlex (TPU) which was much softer than the middle layer. I think it would be okay to only print the top layer without the bottom ABS layers. I'll try this approach once my first pair eventually wears out. My design assumes that you first print the ABS STL and then proceed printing the soft layer, which floats in air. If you're planning to only print the top layer, you need to offset the model to directly print on the bed.
