Archaeologists unearthed a rare, Insitu Pewter Chalice at Thornton Abbey, thanks to meticulous University of Sheffield excavations. Fragments of this ancient treasure remain disfigured and broken. This remarkable discovery was made possible through the use of advanced digital reconstruction techniques, specifically Structure from Motion (SfM) processing with Agisoft Photoscan software.
