This is a custom fit strainer basket designed specifically for InSinkErator garbage disposals. After test fitting two different models, it appears that InSinkErator uses the same size housing, slightly larger than 86mm. To ensure a perfect fit for your specific drain, you can always adjust the model's dimensions as needed. I was looking for a basket without a lip, so bits could easily flow into the basket from the sink. This one is supported by the indent within the drain cylinder, eliminating the need for a lip. There are two design options available: one with thinner walls and grate (1.5mm) and another with thicker ones (2.5mm). I initially used the thin version but after exposing it to hot water, it deformed slightly. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend using the thicker version for a more durable performance.
