Insignia (Best Buy) 19" TV/Monitor Center Stand
thingiverse
I acquired a 19" LCD TV from Insignia (Best Buy) for dual use as both a computer monitor and TV, and it's turned out to be an incredible screen with multiple HDMI inputs, USB connectivity, digital audio, and crystal-clear visuals - all for the unbeatable price of $90. My only issue with this amazing TV/Monitor was the factory-installed stands on the right and left sides that hold it upright. I wanted to adjust its angle, so I took a closer look at the bottom and discovered an additional center mounting flange that gave me the perfect opportunity to create my own adjustable stand. Using Sketchup, which is still a bit of a mystery to me, I designed this custom center stand for the TV, which not only adjusts its angle but also secures it firmly in place. To prevent the TV from slipping or sliding around, I applied a rubber coating to the bottom using Plasti-Dip - a simple yet effective solution. While my design may not be a masterpiece, it gets the job done, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Here are the details of the print settings: **Printer Settings** * Printer Brand: RepRap * Printer Model: Prusa i3 Folger * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Infill: 15% **Notes** This model requires support during printing, so be sure to enable it. I printed my first prototype at 20% infill, but the second one at 15%, and 15% infill proved to be more than sufficient. **Post-Printing** To add some grip to your TV stand, consider attaching rubber feet or applying a rubber coating to the bottom for added stability.
