I grabbed the model from NASA's 3D repository (nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/models) and pulled down the STL files. A total of around 300 objects were included, so I imported them into Meshmixer. After some effort, I managed to create four cleaned-up models that are now ready for printing. It still presents a challenge, but I'm confident it can be printed successfully. The files certainly exceed quality expectations. If you're able to reduce the complexity of the files through decimation, please do so.
