Insectbot Mini parts for easier assembly and functionality

I designed these components specifically for the Insectbot Mini, which is manufactured by dfrobot.com and widely available at various electronic and robotic kit retailers. To enhance the aesthetic appeal of this engaging project, I decided to refine its assembly process and give it a more polished finish. There are only two parts that I created, requiring no assembly whatsoever. The first component is the back panel, which provides additional stability to the sensors used for the eyes while also offering a convenient space to manage excess wires from the servos and sensor using zip ties. This approach eliminates the need for messy bundling and tangles. The neck is attached at its base and features a width that perfectly accommodates the front servo. Users can secure it with double-sided tape or opt for a more permanent bond, such as glue, which I employed myself. To attach the sensor, two small holes must be drilled to allow zip ties to pass through or use double-sided tape for a secure fit. Notably, some variations of sensors may exist within the kit, prompting me to avoid drilling holes in this component. The second part is the back panel with a dedicated slot for battery removal and recharging ease as well as a platform for the circuit board, enabling effortless access to pins, plugs, and the micro USB port for programming purposes. This component fits seamlessly over the rear sensor, mirroring the neck's attachment method, which can be secured using double-sided tape or glue. These two components significantly enhance the functionality and visual appeal of the completed product, rendering it more refined and appealing.
