This sillar that we can observe in the old schools of Puente Almuhey, Valderrueda, Leon, is part of one of the inscriptions that were featured on the chapel of Renedo Palace in Valdetuéjar, according to the text transcribed by Manuel Gómez Moreno in his Catalogue Monumental and Artistic of Spain, Province of Leon, Institute of Leonese Culture, 1906-1908, which knew the palace when the chapel, under the patronage of Saint John the Evangelist, was already in ruins. Given their length, these inscriptions were made on several sillars, some of which were reused in later constructions in the surrounding area.
