Input Shaper Support for Kingroon KP3S
thingiverse
These supports have been designed to perform a resonance/max acceleration test with a Kingroon KP3S printer. These supports are intended for the portable input shaper (PIS) from Fysetc (https://www.fysetc.com/en-de/products/fysetc-portable-input-shaper-with-rp2040-upgraded-3d-printer-parts-support-klipper-for-voron-2-4-0-1-trident), which is readily available in Amazon and Aliexpress. Also very handy, as it doesn't require any soldering. There are three STL files: -Support_X_axis.stl --> For resonance test on X axis -Support_Y_axis_upper-half --> Upper half for resonance test on Y axis -Support_Y_axis_lower-half --> Lower half for resonance test on Y axis For these supports the following additional parts have been used: 4x M3 screws with countersunk head (recommended length 10-15mm, anyway, I cut the bolts on demand as mine were quite much longer) 4x M3 bolts The documentation on how to perform the resonance compensation and max acceleration tests can be found under: https://www.klipper3d.org/Resonance_Compensation.html For the test you just need one PIS (Portable Input Shaper) device. First, mount the X bracket with the PIS, and perform the X axis resonance test. Second, unmount the support from the X axis together with the sensor, and mount the sensor on the Y (upper half) support bracket. Install with the lower Y half on the bed holes, and perform the Y resonance test. You can do first X axis and second Y axis, or vice versa, first Y axis and second X axis. It's up to you and the order has no impact on the results. PS: A higher acceleration means faster prints. My printer's physical acceleration limit was around 10 times the default acceleration speed. So, just to give some margin I decided to set up my max acceleration to roundabout 75% of the maximum physical acceleration. With this I'm printing roughly 3 times faster than before.
