Inokim Ox Dust Caps
thingiverse
These dust caps for the Inokim Ox electric scooter are my go-to spares, serving as a primary backup for commuting to work. The originals are rubber but have an unfortunate habit of popping out unexpectedly, so I keep these extras on hand just in case. You can use these without o-rings and still get some level of dust protection, but you won't enjoy moisture protection. To ensure maximum protection against both dust and moisture, I recommend installing the o-ring and applying a sealed acrylic top coat before adding the o-ring if your scooter is exposed to any moisture. This precaution is essential because most 3D prints are water-permeable, and you want to keep moisture away from sensitive components underneath the cap. To print these caps effectively, use a large and small cap upside down with no supports. A layer height of 0.2mm or better and an infill level of at least 30% will yield the best results. The rear axle wire cap is designed to be printed right side up with support for added stability. When it comes to o-rings, the large cap requires 33mm x 37mm x 2mm O-Rings, while the small cap needs 27mm x 31mm x 2mm O-Rings.
