Innovative Infill Pattern / Cable Organizer

Hire me to design your idea: austin@bitdrafted.com This model is more than meets the eye! If you look closely at the model you can see that it is cut to trick the slicer into printing it in vase mode. Before, to print out a shape like this you would need to print a square with no top and bottom layers, and select a hexagonal infill. The problem with that is that the infill is week, because the extruder skips certain sides of the infil every other layers for speed. This design allows the hexagon pattern to be printed with two layer thicknesses all around the part, without evey having to retact filament, or stop extruding once. To do this, every vertical face of the hexoganol pattery is spit at the midpoint, except for one face on each row that alternates between the left and right side. This file is intended to be printed in vase mode with 0.5mm extrusion width. This creates a very stong part. Feel free to scale this to fit your own needs. The current size is good for storing usb cables, it should be scaled about 20% to store thicker cables, like display cables. Don't forget to increase the extrusion width with the scale to keep the print solid if you want to print it in the intended manner! www.bitdrafted.com https://www.instagram.com/p/B56bL5PAKYm/ https://twitter.com/BitDrafted https://www.facebook.com/bitdrafted
