InMoov Solid Wrist Gear

InMoov Solid Wrist Gear

thingiverse

I had to try multiple gears from Thingiverse, but none of them fit the bill. They were either too short or too tall, and some even had a servo hole that was way too big, which made them useless for my project. The worst part was the hollow teeth, which I knew would cause problems from the start. My wrist gear kept stripping those teeth, and to make matters worse, the gears themselves were too small in diameter. But finally, after much searching, I found a gear that worked perfectly - its teeth meshed together snugly with no play at all, so it was able to withstand the constant movement of my robotic arm. I'm relieved to have found a solution and thoughtfully uploaded MyWristGear_Small.stl in case anyone else is using a round servo horn, as this design might be more reliable for them.
