I remixed the "neck piston side v1" design from the neck gallery on inmoov.fr, but my printer struggled to produce pieces without jamming. To solve this issue, I resized only the x and y scale of the threaded portion of the piston while keeping its overall length intact. The lower section where the servo attaches remained unchanged. I created several scaled versions ranging from 99% to 96%. Testing with a 96% scale allowed me to find that a 97% scale would fit snugly, yet still enable smooth motion. After around a hundred screw cycles in and out of the neck piston, I applied Belray motorcycle chain lube to the piston's threads. This product is likely a PTFE lithium-based mixture in spray form. Once lubricated, the pistons moved with ease and smoothness.
