Inmoov hand with MyoWare Muscle Sensor

thingiverse

I am printing the Inmoov hands, hoping to control them with either a MyoWare Muscle Sensor or a flexible resistor mounted to a glove. All STL files are available at http://inmoov.fr. So far, I have succeeded in controlling the finger starter driven by a 20KG RC servo, which can be moved by code or a joystick. --2nd April progress so far 1. The wrist has been greased and assembled. 2. All tendons are connected. 3. I got hold of an Adafruit 16 channel PWM board to drive the servos. Next step is to set the angle of all servos and test with different versions of pulleys, as I had issues with the finger starter where the pulling length of close/open positions were different and sometimes the line would come out from the pulleys. I found different versions of pulleys on Thingiverse and will be testing them. --Update April 11 1. All pulleys are installed and adjusted, tension set. 2. All fingers move as expected. However, the new pulleys are too high for the arm cover and it won't close. Today, I designed a base as I am not building the rest of the arm. Also had an idea to include a little OLED in the base. (Sketchup file for base is uploaded) --Update April 21 1. I switched back to the original pulleys and adjusted the tension; it came out just OK. 2. Printed a bezel of 1.32 inch (128x64) OLED and mounted on the base. I have made code to display icons matching hand gestures. 3. Created a Control Pad in Processing to control the hand close/open. 4. Connected a HC-05 BT module as receiver on the hand side so it goes like PC--Processing ---> BT ~ BT-->Arduino--->InMoov Next step will be: 1. Secure all wire connections. 2. Solder a power supply for the shield and Arduino, as I need two 5V inputs. 3. Tidy up the code. 4. Produce a demo video.
