Inmoov Finger Pins

Many thanks to Mr. Gael, Inmoov Designer. These are Finger Pins for joining the Fingers together - they have a flat bottom for easy printing, keeping in mind that the internal finger sleeve is drilled out enough to allow it to swivel freely and the external ones are firm enough for the glue to bond. I strongly recommend doing a couple of test fingers before doing them to your good ones - this is still R&D stuff, so all bets are off. There are 3mm in diameter and are very strong due to being printed in the horizontal position. I used a 2.5mm drill bit for the exterior and a 3mm drill bit for the interior. Some reaming with the drill bit (feeding the part up and down in the drill press) might be needed to get a perfect fit, but make sure you take off the corner swell of the pins first. This can be done in the drill press with a file - basically there are a few ways to clean and fit them. They can be used as templates for making pins out of aluminum, steel rod, or copper tube, etc. Just thought a set of printable pins would be handy. Had the file laying around for a while just uploaded them because a few people were talking about the problem of buying a whole roll of 3mm filament just to use one meter of it. Hope it helps you guys out. The SketchUp file is included. -=Mindless=-
