A detailed model of a crankshaft from an inline six engine was designed by a colleague using advanced computer-aided design software, specifically Catia. To accommodate the model on my own Ender 3 printer, I scaled it down to 25% of its original size. Printing it vertically with extensive support structures and a raft proved time-consuming, but the result is visually stunning.
