Inky Pi 3d delta printer
thingiverse
This is my third generation Delta printer named Inky Pi, a highly modified version of the classic Delta Pi design. It utilizes ten millimeter balls and N52 magnets to firmly secure the rods and effector plate in place. The control software utilized is Repetier firmware, expertly paired with an Arduino controller and RAMPS boards for precision execution. My machine features two sturdy bases crafted from eighteen millimeter MDF, which are seamlessly connected vertically via a durable laminate floor board. This provides a solid platform for mounting the power supply, spool holder, and extruder unit. Vertical tubes made from twenty millimeter square stainless steel pipes, measuring one meter in length, create an overall print height of 550 millimeters. My Delta printer boasts eight high-performance 623ZZ ball bearings mounted on three millimeter stainless cap heads within each carriage. Additionally, link rods with a four millimeter diameter are fabricated using lightweight carbon fibre, precision-bonded rod ends are used to secure the link rod components at each end and measure 270 millimeters in length. Following nearly one and a half years of operation, Inky Pi consistently delivers outstanding results and demonstrates its capabilities as an advanced FDM machine.
