Inkster - 6" and 9.7" case
thingiverse
I designed these cases to be nice and slim. They require M2 brass inserts and bolts. The cheapo M2 inserts from aliexpress work just fine. The 6" one requires 8x M2 brass insert, 4x M2x5 (0.3mm flat head), 4x M2x5 bolt (these will be visible so I recommend black hex head) The 9" one requires 7x M2 brass insert, 3x M2x5 (0.3mm flat head), 4x M2x5 bolt (these will be visible so I recommend black hex head) Open bottom versions expose test pads, connectors and the VCOM trimmer so it's better for development. The display and board should fit very nicely with some clearance. If the display or the board doesn't fit, it means your printer is not properly calibrated. You can either edit the model in your slicer and slightly adjust the size or calibrate your printer if that's the case. You can use the 3mf files just like the STL :) **Make sure that both pcb and display fit before adding the inserts, the display should have some tiny wiggle room to slide around.** 6" cover is compatible with: ED060XC3 ED060XC5 ED060XD4 ED060SCE and similar 9.7" cover is compatible with: ED097OC4 ED097OC1 ED097TC1 ED097TC2 and similar Project github: https://github.com/mcer12/Inkster-ESP32 #Print settings - 0.5mm line width - 2-3 wall perimeters, 2 bottom layers, 3-4 top layers (always check preview in the slicer) - 15% zigzag infill for test print, 40% cubic for very strong print - strongly suggest using Cura Arachne Beta - requires well calibrated printer - print without supports
